Manaslu ExpeditionMt. Manaslu is situated in the central region of Nepal in the Gorkha massif is the eighth highest mountain in the world. The name Manaslu was derived from the Sanskrit word “Maanas” meaning “soul” or “intellect”. Japanese were the first to climb this mountain in 1956, therefore it is still considered as Japanese peak by many people. Though there are many routes to this mountain, as the long ridge and valley glacier offer feasibility to approach from different directions, but South Face is considered to be the most difficult.
     

 Expedition Itinerary
Day 01  Arrive Kathmandu & transfer to hotel.
Day 02-03  Stay in Katmandu, official formalities.
Day 4  Drive Kathmandu-Arughat.
Day 5-15 Trek to Manaslu Base Camp.
Day 16-39 Climbing period of Mt. Manaslu.
Day 40-46 Withdraw Base Camp and trek to Arughat
Day 47 Drive to Kathmandu & transfer to hotel.
Day 48-49 At leisure in Kathmandu.
Day 50 Transfer to airport for international departure.

 

 Service includes:
  • 5 nights tourist standard hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on twin sharing bed & breakfast basis,
  • Permit fee of Mt. Manaslu & national park permit,
  • Ground transport: Kathmandu-Arughat-Kathmandu,
  • Cargo clearance & duties fees,
  • 1 Base Camp cook, 1 Kitchen helper and 1 Government Liaison officer,
  • Equipment allowance, daily wages, insurance, food and shelter for above mentioned staff and Liaison officer,
  • All food, fuel and accommodation for member and Sherpa staffs throughout the expedition period at Base Camp and while going from Beni to BC and back to Jomsom on full board basis,
  • Complete BC equipments: 1 tent per member, staff tent, chair table, toilet tent, shower tent, dining tent, and kitchen tent,
  • 10 porters per member from Beni to BC and 6 porters return from BC per member,
  • 60 Kgs weight allowed per member for personal equipment,
  • All transfers: airport-hotel-airport and related transfers,
  • 1 gamow Bag for group,
  • Agency service charge, related administrative fees,
  • Emergency Helicopter rescue arrangements,
  • Last farewell dinner in Kathmandu,

  • Air travel to/from Nepal,
  • Lunch and Dinner in Kathmandu,
  • Drinks, laundry, postage, telephone bills, all items of personal nature,
  • Summit bonus & load ferry charges for climbing Sherpa,
  • Departure tax at Kathmandu int'l airport,
  • Satellite phone U$ 600 on renting
  • Oxygen, mask and regulator  for member and climbing Sherpa,
  • High altitude food, fuel, tent and related equipments for member and climbing Sherpa,
  • Extra high altitude Sherpa US$ 2,500.00 per sherpa if needed,
  • Personal travel, high risk, accidental and medical insurance of member,
  • Emergency rescue evacuations,
  • Respective expenses if one returns earlier from the expedition due to sickness or emergency purpose.
