South Asia Trekking has successfully completed the exhibition of travel and adventure shows representing Nepal and the agency itself being held in Los Angeles from February 27-28, 2016. Approximately five thousand visitors visited the exhibition. The exhibition was organized by the Unicomm LLC.
We would like to share a good news among all of you that Nepal has finally received a New constitution ending the long political deadlock and other crises. The constitution was passed by 91% majority of the constitution assembly members, and with this Nepal has entered to a new era that will definitely lead Nepal to stability, development and prosperity!!!

South Asia Trekking agency was recently promoted in Pennsylvania Travel and Adventure Show, USA, from March 21-22 in Pennsylvania Convention centre as an exhibitor organized by Unicomm. Hundreds of visitors visited its stall with several on-spot bookings. We also plan to participate as an exhibitor in other travel and tourism exhibitions in near future. Despite enormous tourism potentialities due to lack of right press and promotions, Nepal is lacking the number of tourists as expected and this types of exhibition has helped to further promote Nepal in global tourism markets.
Nepali Tourism Board together with different travel trade associations is organizing Nepal’s first even tourism promotion program in the African continent in March.
The program is being organized in celebration of the incredible journey of the ‘7 Summits Women Team’ from the summit of the Mt Everest to Mt Kilimanjaro – the tallest peak on African continent. Led by Shailee Basnet, the team includes Asha Kumari Singh, Chunu Shrestha, Nimdoma Sherpa, Pema Diki Sherpa, Pujan Acharya and Maya Gurung.

Geneva: IATA's traffic results for November 2012 show an improvement in both passenger and air freight demand.
Air travel was 4.6% higher compared to November 2011, up on the October result of 2.9%. Air freight volumes edged up 1.6% over the same period after declining 2.6% in October, year to year.
Passenger capacity rose 3.2% and load factor improved one percentage point to 77.3% compared to the year-ago period.

Tourists arriving by air to Nepal in October have increased by 2.2 percent in November compared to figures of the same period last year.
Issuing a press statement, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) said the bounce back in tourist arrivals clearly showed the rising travel demand toward the destination.
Tourist arrivals from the SAARC segment declined by 23 percent during the review month led by drop in the number of tourists from India (21.6 percent), Bangladesh (37.3 percent) and Sri Lanka (24 percent). However, Pakistan registered a positive growth of 12.8 percent.

An Air Traffic Message Handling System (AMHS) and New Flight Plan-2012 has been formally launched today at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
With the launching of AMHS service at TIA, all information about air flights can be taken through internet.
The new system is the replacement of Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) that was installed for the first time in 2000. The new system has been installed at a cost of around Rs. 90 million though a bidding process of the international-standard.
