Mountain, Monastery & Green Valley Trek is customized after long research to suit people of all ages is perfect to see most beautiful areas of the Lower Everest region that people have not been aware of…This trek offers all round package for nature lovers offering some of the most beautiful mountain sceneries, ancient monasteries, sacred lakes, lush green valleys, different ethnic group cultures of Sherpa, Magar, Rai, Bishwokarma etc….
This region has the most number of Monasteries of all Nepal including His Holiness Trulshig Rinpoche, the Guru of his holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. His Holiness Trulshig Rinpoche was born in Tibet, in Lo Talung, a place sacred to the Goddess Tara. When he was 4 years old, he was recognized by the abbot Ngawang Tenzing as the reincarnation of his own heart lama, Trulshig Tendru Dorje. His holiness is the most reincarnated Lama and respected (monk) in Tibetan Buddhism.
After 30 minutes panoramic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu, a very prosperous Sherpa village our trek begins through the river gorges to Junbeshi and then following day visit the Thupten Chhoeling Monastery a historically very important monastery and there are approx 300 nuns meditating around the monastery follows further up the alpine valleys with stunning views of mount Numbur and Everest range to very sacred lakes for both Hindus and Buddhists at Dudhkunda and the views from here are absolutely breathtaking… Further entering down the lush green valleys visit the another monastery at Taksindhu and down the valley crossing Dudh koshi river, direct river from Everest Base camp we trek up a large prosperous Sherpa village at Khari Khola through the Rai settlements. We spend two days in Khari Khola exploring the village and further we continue our journey gaining heights through the Alpine forest of Juniper, Rhododendron, various types of alpine flowers, birds and animals to Takpi Dingma. This camp site is an excellent view point of Everest mountain ranges as far as Cho-Oyu and many other surrounding mountains. Enjoying the views we continue the trek further towards Lukla, end our trek and fly back to Kathmandu to make this trek a memorable experience!
Outlined trek Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival in Katmandu, meet our representative and transfer to hotel.
Day 2. Half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley.
Day 3. Flight Kathmandu – Phaplu and Trek to Junbeshi (2,682m).
Day 4. Trek Junbesi to Thuptenchholing Monastery.
Day 5. Explore the monastery, and different activities around the monastery such as nuns meditation.
Day 6. Trek to Yak Kharka (3005m).
Day 7. Trek to the Lake Dudkunda (4700m).
Day 8. Trek to Thaksindu, visit the monastery.
Day 9. Trek to Khari khola (2,069m).
Day 10. At rest in Kharikhola village.
Day 11. Exploration around Kharikhola village.
Day 12. Trek to Takpi Dingma forest camp.
Day 13. Trek Serto Yak Kharka.
Day 14. Trek to Pangkongma Sherpa village (3,010m), visit monastery.
Day 15. Trek to Paiya.
Day 16. Trek to Lukla (2880m).
Day 17. Fly Lukla – Kathmandu, meet and transfer to hotel.
Day 18. At leisure in Kathmandu.
Day 19. Departure from Kathmandu.
Cost includes

Heath Consideration / Medicine
Though our Sherpa Guide/Leader will carry a comprehensive medical kit for purpose of using (especially for staffs) during the Mountain, Monastery & Green Valley Trek period, you should carry your personal medication as prescribed by your doctor. Or a Personal Medical Kit as: Diamox 250mg, Antibiotics, anti-fungal skin application, Allergy Inflammation & Itch, Antiseptic, Disinfectant for water, Diarrheal, Antibiotic drops or ointment for eye and ear, Indigestion, Nausea and Vomitting,, Painkillers, Oral Rehydration Solution, Dressing and Would Cares.
At an Emergency
We are prepared for any emergency situation during your trip anywhere in Nepal. Our Trek guide / Sirdar is trained in first aid and can deal with most of the basic ailments that are associated with this trek, but when a serious emergency occurs, then outside help is needed and such rescues are expensive therefore every trek member should have his or her own insurance arranged before coming to Nepal through a reliable insurance company right from the home country covering against Search & Rescue evacuation, hospitalization, loss and theft of goods, life insurance etc…We ask each member’s Insurance policy reference before leaving for trek from Kathmandu. All our staffs, guides and porters are well insured.
Immunization
At least six weeks before the departure for Mountain, Monastery & Green Valley Trek you will need to consult your doctor to work out an immunization schedules relevant to the Himalayas. You should normally be immunized against Tetanus, Polio, Hepatitis A, Cholera, though you must also contact your doctor for necessary immunization details.
Dental Checks
It is most important that you have a through dental examination before commencing the Mountain, Monastery & Green Valley Trek and have any necessary treatment carried out. Dental treatment on the mountain is likely to be drastic and traumatic!
